Occupational Therapy – Commonly Asked Questions
Do You Accept Health Funds?
We conveniently have a HICAPS machine that allows you to make eligible claims on the spot, at the time of your consultation. If you have private health insurance, check whether or not occupational therapy is covered, and for how many visits or to what extent.
Do You Accept Medicare?
Yes we do. Your doctor can help you decide whether an occupational therapist might help you, and can provide a referral.
Our practitioners are registered with Medicare and you’re able to claim rebates for occupational therapy if your GP or Paediatrician refers you. This will need to be a referral under a Chronic Disease Management Plan.
Current rebates are $52.95 for up to 5 sessions per calendar year. Note: you will need to pay upfront in clinic and they claim back a refund through Medicare (either in a Medicare office, online or through their App).
